Qualifications – Needed
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Certification: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of structured cabling design experience
- Experience with copper and fiber network design (OSP and ISP)
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and low voltage installation methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proven ability to manage multiple project deadlines and collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct site visits for data collection and system evaluations
- Design and implement structured copper and fiber cabling systems
- Prepare project-specific construction drawings and specifications
- Develop inside and outside plant telecommunications network designs
- Ensure compliance with telecommunications and construction codes
- Collaborate with other design disciplines to coordinate layouts
- Manage drawing revisions and documentation throughout project lifecycle
- Support implementation and warranty testing of fiber and copper cabling
- Participate in business development and client relationship efforts as needed
