Job Details

Qualifications – Needed

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Certification: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), in good standing
  • Minimum 3 years of structured cabling design experience
  • Experience with copper and fiber network design (OSP and ISP)
  • Familiarity with structured cabling standards and low voltage installation methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project deadlines and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct site visits for data collection and system evaluations
  • Design and implement structured copper and fiber cabling systems
  • Prepare project-specific construction drawings and specifications
  • Develop inside and outside plant telecommunications network designs
  • Ensure compliance with telecommunications and construction codes
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines to coordinate layouts
  • Manage drawing revisions and documentation throughout project lifecycle
  • Support implementation and warranty testing of fiber and copper cabling
  • Participate in business development and client relationship efforts as needed
