We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the 2nd shift in our Advanced Inpatient Pediatrics (AIP) unit. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to pediatric patients with behavioral health needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in children's behavioral health, coupled with a commitment to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.

As a Registered Nurse in our AIP unit, your responsibilities will include:

1. Providing direct care to pediatric patients with behavioral health needs, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
2. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitoring patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
4. Documenting all patient care and interactions in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
5. Educating patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management techniques.
6. Responding to emergencies and providing crisis intervention as needed.
7. Participating in ongoing education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge

Job Details

1. Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
2. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in children's behavioral health.
3. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
5. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and team members.
7. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
8. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology.
