Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Providing compassionate and empathetic care to patients suffering from mental health issues and substance abuse.
2. Developing, implementing and updating patient care plans to ensure they receive the best possible care.
3. Conducting triage, assessing patient needs and prioritizing care.
4. Managing pain effectively and safely, ensuring patient comfort.
5. Administering medication as prescribed, monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
6. Coordinating care with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
7. Overseeing the admissions and discharges of patients, ensuring a smooth transition.
8. Utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
9. Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest advancements in behavioral health nursing.
Qualifications:
1. A current and valid Registered Nurse license.
2. Prior nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
3. Demonstrated experience in triage, care plans, EMR, substance abuse, pain management, behavioral health, administering medication, admissions, discharges, and care coordination.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and build strong relationships with patients.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
6. A deep understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice.
7. The ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and empathy.
