We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact on patient care and outcomes in our healthcare organization. The RNFA will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest quality of care during surgical procedures. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with specific expertise in CNOR and RNFA. This role requires a commitment to excellence, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), you will be responsible for:

1. Assisting surgeons during operative and invasive procedures by providing direct patient care, monitoring patient's condition, and managing surgical procedures to ensure the highest quality of care.
2. Performing preoperative patient assessments, developing individualized nursing care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions.
3. Utilizing advanced surgical techniques, including suturing and cautery, to provide direct patient care during surgical procedures.
4. Collaborating with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
5. Managing patient care in the surgical setting, including positioning patients, preparing operative sites, and providing wound care.
6. Acting as a liaison between the surgical team and patient's family, providing updates and information as needed.
7. Participating in continuous education, training, and professional development activities to maintain current knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) role, the following qualifications are required:

1. Current and valid RN license in California (or ability to acquire one within 4-6 weeks)
2. Certification as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA).
3. Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR).
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of surgical procedures, patient care, and clinical protocols.
6. ACLS & BLS Certifications
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
