This is a permanent, full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule, offering you a fantastic work-life balance. Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse in our outpatient unit, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.
2. Conducting initial patient screenings and assessments to understand their health condition and needs.
3. Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
4. Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
5. Observing patients, recording their conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments, and reporting any changes to the physician.
6. Educating patients and their families about their conditions and teaching appropriate disease management techniques.
7. Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
8. Maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records.
9. Participating in professional development activities to keep abreast of the latest advancements in pediatric nursing.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Valid RN license and registration to practice in the state.
2. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics.
3. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
5. Exceptional clinical skills with a strong emphasis on pediatric assessment and intervention.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
9. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
10. Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills through professional development activities.
