We are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and experienced Permanent Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a hybrid role. This position offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site, providing critical care to patients in both ambulatory, inpatient, and outpatient settings. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EMR, EPIC EMR, and EHR systems, and be comfortable providing telephone triage services. Responsibilities:

1. Triage incoming patient calls, assessing the level of urgency, and directing patients to appropriate care.
2. Document all patient interactions accurately and efficiently in the EMR, EPIC EMR, and EHR systems.
3. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, manage, and assess patient treatments.
5. Educate patients and their families on disease management, therapeutic procedures, and other aspects of health maintenance.
6. Implement nursing interventions based on established care plans.
7. Respond rapidly to emergencies, prioritizing patient safety at all times.
8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
9. Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay current with the latest best practices in nursing care.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license.
  • Must have BSN
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with experience in ambulatory, inpatient, and outpatient care.
3. Proficiency in EMR, EPIC EMR, and EHR systems.
4. Experience with telephone triage.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
8. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
9. Must live in the Allentown area to be able to commute to the hospital when required.
10. Current CPR certification.
11. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
