Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regulatory Specialist to join our thriving Food Manufacturing team. This is a permanent position, requiring a deep understanding of regulatory compliance within the Food Manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement regulatory strategies and processes to ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and other relevant regulations.
2. Review and approve product labels, ingredient statements, and nutritional data to ensure they are accurate and compliant with all US/Canadian regulatory requirements.
3. Liaise with regulatory authorities and represent the company at regulatory meetings and inspections.
4. Stay abreast of changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines, advising the company on their impact and necessary actions.
5. Provide regulatory input and advice throughout the product development and manufacturing process.
6. Prepare and submit documentation to regulatory authorities to support product registrations, amendments, and renewals.
7. Work cross-functionally with other departments, including Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Marketing, to ensure regulatory compliance in all areas.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a regulatory role within the Food Manufacturing industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations, as well as product labeling, ingredient statements, and nutritional data.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory issues to non-specialists.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and regulatory submission software.
