Job Details

Job Description: As a Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in our project development process. You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project specifications, conducting site visits, and collaborating with the project management team to ensure that our bids are competitive and profitable. Your ability to provide accurate cost estimates will directly impact our company's success.

Responsibilities:
1. Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
2. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant information.
3. Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes and pricing.
4. Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to create comprehensive estimates.
5. Utilize construction estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
6. Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys.
7. Participate in bid review meetings and provide insights on project costs and risks.
8. Work closely with the project management team to ensure that estimates align with project objectives.
9. Maintain a database of cost data, subcontractor contacts, and historical project information.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and materials to make informed cost assessments.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
2. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
4. Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam).
5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
6. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in estimates.
7. Effective communication and negotiation skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
10. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations (preferred).
11. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
