Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the tax department, ensuring that all tax services are delivered accurately, efficiently, and effectively
  • Review and sign off on tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Train, mentor and supervise tax staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to provide additional services
  • Prepare and review tax planning strategies for high net worth individuals, partnerships, and S-Corps
  • Stay up to date with changing tax laws and regulations, communicating changes to clients and team members
  • Identify and resolve tax-related issues and discrepancies
  • Manage client engagements, including budgeting, billing, and collections

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA license required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including experience with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and S-Corps
  • Experience managing a team of tax professionals
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficient in tax preparation software such as CCH and Profx engagement
