Residential Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Residential Construction Project Manager to join our fast-paced, high-energy construction team. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing residential construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals, taking the lead on project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of residential construction projects from initial planning to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and coordinate with team members and other professionals to adhere to the plan.
• Implement effective communication strategy among the project team and stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks and ensure safety compliance.
• Evaluate and manage project budget, maintain cost control, and ensure financial performance of the project.
• Negotiate contracts with architects, vendors, contractors and other workers.
• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Conduct quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets the highest standards and complies with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they complete assigned tasks as per plan.
• Address issues, solve problems and implement changes as needed to ensure the project stays on track.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential construction project management.
• Proficient in project management software, MS Office, and blueprint reading.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, construction processes, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and ability to plan construction processes.
