Job Details
We’re hiring a Residential Installation Technician in Akron to install and start up residential HVAC equipment, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems, water heaters, boilers, humidifiers, and ductwork. This full‑time role emphasizes quality installation, customer communication, and teamwork. You’ll be assigned a company truck, receive ongoing training, work alongside experienced techs, and have opportunities for overtime. If you’re dependable, mechanically inclined, and ready to grow in the HVAC trade, this position offers hands‑on experience, mentorship, and a pathway into more advanced residential or commercial roles.

- Install and start up residential HVAC equipment (furnaces, heat pumps, ductless splits, boilers, water heaters, humidifiers, ductwork, etc.)
- Follow manufacturer start‑up procedures and ensure systems operate to spec
- Perform basic diagnostic/service tasks as needed during installations
- Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and company vehicle; keep accurate service/installation documentation
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and site contacts; explain operation and maintenance to customers
- Adhere to safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment
- Participate in training and follow company installation standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year residential HVAC installation experience preferred; steady work history required
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, refrigerant handling, ductwork, and electrical/mechanical connections
- Strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and good customer service skills
- HVAC schooling, EPA certification, or similar credentials a plus
