Job Details
We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the revenue recognition process (ASC 606) in accordance with company policies
2. Performing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
3. Analyzing and reviewing contracts, orders, and sales transactions to ensure proper revenue recognition
4. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and schedules
5. Collaborating with the sales and finance teams to resolve revenue recognition issues
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
7. Participating in financial audits and providing recommendations for procedural improvements
8. Providing support for special projects and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or CMA certification is preferred
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue accounting
3. Proficiency in month-end close processes and the ability to work under tight deadlines
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards, particularly those related to revenue recognition
