Job Details
A long-standing general practice architecture firm with multiple offices in Iowa is seeking an experienced REVIT/BIM Technician to join their growing team. With over 40 years in the business and a current team of 13, the firm supports a wide range of public and private projects—everything from schools, libraries, and fire stations to churches, commercial buildings, and historic preservation work. They’re known for their collaborative environment and commitment to architectural excellence.
This role is heavily production-focused. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining architectural models, assisting in BIM workflows, and supporting project teams across diverse building types. The ideal candidate has hands-on Revit expertise and a knack for creating reusable content and family libraries to support efficiency across the board.

This role is heavily production-focused. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining architectural models, assisting in BIM workflows, and supporting project teams across diverse building types. The ideal candidate has hands-on Revit expertise and a knack for creating reusable content and family libraries to support efficiency across the board.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and maintain accurate architectural drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD
- Support BIM coordination and in-house content development, including family creation and template updates
- Perform QA/QC on drawings and BIM models to ensure consistency and adherence to industry standards
- Collaborate closely with project architects, engineers, and other designers in a team-oriented environment
- Conduct design analysis, layout planning, and help author reports and project documentation
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of architectural drafting/modeling experience with BIM software (Revit required)
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related technical field
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards and drafting best practices
- Experience working on projects of moderate size and complexity
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team setting
