Job Details

GENERAL DUTIES:

Design and implement solid-state power control systems, cabin control products, and data acquisition devices.
Write technical documents, including software requirements, hardware design descriptions, and hardware verification procedures and reports.
Conduct peer reviews of designs.
Perform hardware verification and validation activities.
Prepare and present technical design reviews, both internally and externally.
Fulfill other assigned duties.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in analog and digital electrical circuit design and development.
Proficiency in PCB layout reviews.
Knowledge of design considerations for EMC and thermal performance.
Ability to develop electrical circuit specifications.
Familiarity with product testing and validation methods.
Skill in specifying and developing production test equipment.
Proficiency in schematic capture tools such as Altium and Or-Cad.
Experience with hardware/software integration.
Understanding of databus communications, including ARINC 429, RS 232/422/485, and CAN.
Familiarity with aviation qualification standards, specifically RTCA/DO-160.
Knowledge of product and software specifications.
Previous experience in developing and supporting RF ground engineering activities for a satellite communications system.
Ability to use Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Oscilloscopes.
Proficiency in RF engineering, including maintaining schematics, performing analysis, creating block diagrams, managing system Bill of Materials (BOMs), and preparing design review packages.
Understanding of basic RF circuits and components, such as up/down-converters, amplifiers, power splitters/dividers, couplers, mixers, filters, and their applications.
Hands-on experience in breadboarding and testing RF circuits, as well as effective troubleshooting to identify root causes of failures.
