This is a unique opportunity that requires a dynamic individual who is skilled in risk management and administration within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance requirements, subcontractor pre-qualification, legal default, and construction administration. The successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of complex tasks that play a crucial role in our operations. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Risk Administrator, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing and administering risk, ensuring all insurance requirements are met and maintained.
2. Overseeing the pre-qualification process for subcontractors, ensuring they meet our stringent standards.
3. Reviewing and resolving any issues that arise during the course of construction projects.
4. Providing guidance and reviewals to all project teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant county laws, licenses, and registrations.
5. Managing the close out process, ensuring all necessary submittals are provided and all legal defaults are addressed.
6. Coordinating and executing the process of construction administration, ensuring all project details are properly managed and recorded.
7. Providing expert advice on any potential risks that could impact our operations.
8. Collaborating with legal teams to ensure all legal and contractual obligations are met.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Risk Administrator - Construction position will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management and administration within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing insurance requirements and subcontractor pre-qualifications.
3. Solid understanding of county laws, licenses, and registrations related to construction projects.
4. Strong knowledge of legal defaults and the ability to manage and resolve any issues that may arise.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise guidance to project teams.
6. Proficiency in managing construction administration processes, including the close out process and handling of submittals.
7. A strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
8. A degree in a related field is highly preferred.
