Job Details
This position involves the design, building, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems: Epic Optime & Anesthesia. This position supports clinical users and collaborates with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols. This position also prepares detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis.
The person will design, build, test, implement, and maintain clinical application systems for perioperative and procedural services. Collaborates with physicians, nurses and techs to design, maintain, and refine Epic’s Optime and Anesthesia modules to meet their needs through knowledge of surgical and procedural clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing plus five (5) years of clinical nursing practice experience.
Registered Nurse.
Three (3) years of experience as OR RN with knowledge of Pre/Intra/Post-op workflows and documentation best practices.
Ability to pass Epic Certification test within 6 months of hire
Professional level experience working with clinical information systems and demonstrated ability to design/refine clinical system tools to optimize workflow functionality for end users.
Demonstrated ability to identify and document gaps/errors in workflows and collaborate to resolve and proven success in information systems development and support within a large healthcare organization.
Strong project management and time management skills with ability to adapt to changing priorities and a dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EPIC OpTime Certification
Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation
Professional level experience working with SPM (Sterile Processing Microsystems) and Tissue TrackCore

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs
