Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our innovative and dynamic team in the Stem Cell Transplant department. This is an exciting opportunity for an RN who has a passion for providing the highest level of care to patients undergoing stem cell therapy. You will be part of a dedicated team of professionals that are leading the way in medical innovation and patient care. This position is permanent, providing you with long-term stability and the chance to build strong relationships with your patients and team members.

Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse in our Stem Cell Transplant department, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Providing direct nursing care to patients undergoing stem cell or bone marrow transplants, including monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and managing patient recovery.
2. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, oncologists, and hematologists, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
3. Educating patients and their families about the transplant process, possible side effects, and post-transplant care.
4. Managing infusion therapies, including chemotherapy and other medications, in accordance with established protocols.
5. Documenting all patient information accurately and completely, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
6. Participating in research and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in stem cell therapy, bone marrow transplant, and related fields.
7. Providing emotional support to patients and their families during this challenging time.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, you must have:

1. Current and unrestricted RN license.
2. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in oncology or hematology
3. Experience with stem cell or bone marrow transplants, cell therapy, infusion therapies, and chemotherapy.
4. Strong knowledge of cancer and its treatment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable way.
6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
7. Compassion and sensitivity to the needs of patients and their families.
8. A commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
