Job Details:

We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Roadway Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed roadway designs for a variety of projects, including urban design, highways, interstates, multimodal, and trail design. This role requires a deep understanding of cost estimates and a strong desire to pursue professional engineering licensure. If you are already a licensed PE, you should have the ability to obtain licensure in the state of ND and MN. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale, impactful projects that shape our community's infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your expertise in Autodesk and Bentley design to develop detailed and accurate roadway designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and generate cost estimates for various projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are in line with overall project objectives and client requirements.
• Apply your knowledge of urban design, highways, interstates, multimodal, and trail design in the creation of project plans.
• Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in roadway design and construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on complex design issues.
• Ensure all designs adhere to local and national engineering standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in roadway design or a related field.
• Proficiency in Autodesk and Bentley design software.
• Experience in urban design, highways, interstates, multimodal, and trail design.
• Strong understanding of cost estimates and financial aspects of project management.
• Passed the FE exam with a desire to pursue professional engineering licensure. If already a licensed PE, ability to obtain licensure in the state of ND and MN.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
