Our company, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex systems that are critical to our operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects in the rail car, transportation, and manufacturing sectors, with a focus on rolling stock, electrical and mechanical systems, and railway RAMS engineering.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Lead Systems Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

1. Leading the design, development, and implementation of complex systems related to rail car, transportation, and manufacturing sectors.
2. Overseeing the integration of rolling stock subsystems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
3. Providing expert advice on electrical and mechanical systems, contributing to the development of innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting all technical requirements, and adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
5. Leading the development and implementation of railway RAMS engineering processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Conducting regular system performance reviews, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions as required.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Lead Systems Engineer role, you must have:

1. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional engineering certification would be considered an asset.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the rail car, transportation, or manufacturing sectors.
3. Proven experience with rolling stock, electrical and mechanical systems, and railway RAMS engineering.
4. Strong knowledge of rolling stock subsystems, with the ability to oversee their integration into larger systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
