Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Lead safety meetings and training sessions for field staff and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety into daily operations.
Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
Stay current with federal, state, and local safety regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
OSHA 30 certification required; CHST or CSP certification is a plus.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel to various job sites within the Chicago area.
