Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Permanent Safety Manager to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of safety protocols and procedures across our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all staff, visitors, and contractors, while also ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of safety management systems, risk management, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Deliver safety training programs to employees and management.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure safety training is included in employee onboarding and ongoing training programs.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and compile reports for management.
• Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure company compliance.
• Liaise with external bodies such as OSHA and local authorities on safety-related matters.

Implement and maintain HACCP and GMP standards across the organization.

• Work closely with production teams to ensure safety protocols are adhered to during all stages of production.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety management role within the Engineering industry.
• Certified in HACCP and GMP.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (bilingual).
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively deliver safety training programs.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and safety management software.
