Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Account Executive to expand our presence within the federal civilian sector. This individual contributor role is focused on managing both new and existing accounts, driving revenue growth, and cultivating long-term relationships with federal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Value-Added Reseller (VAR) sales, federal contracting, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Success in this position will come from strong client engagement, consultative solution selling, and collaboration with technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution
Manage the full sales cycle for federal civilian accounts, from prospecting to deal closure.
Drive new business opportunities while expanding relationships within existing accounts.
Collaborate with internal teams and technology partners to deliver integrated solutions.
Proposal Development
Work with engineering, solution architects, and marketing teams to create client-focused proposals.
Ensure proposals clearly communicate solution value and differentiation.
Relationship Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to federal agency stakeholders.
Build and maintain long-term relationships to drive repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Sales Operations & Reporting
Manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools (HubSpot or Salesforce).
Provide regular updates on pipeline status, forecasting, and opportunities to leadership.
Collaboration & Market Intelligence
Stay current on federal procurement policies, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Partner with internal teams and technology vendors to ensure seamless solution delivery.
Key Qualifications
Experience
3–7 years of sales experience in the federal civilian sector or VAR/technology sales.
Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
Familiarity with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure solutions, VAR partnerships, and federal procurement processes.
Skills
Strong relationship-building and account management capabilities.
Ability to navigate complex federal procurement cycles.
Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot or Salesforce preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
