Job Details
● Prospect and identify potential customers within Distribution, Transloading and Fulfillment by leveraging various sources such as leads, databases, industry research, and networking.
● Responsible for the sales of our freight forwarding services, including sea freight, air freight, and land transportation.
● Conduct outbound sales visits, calls, and emails to engage with prospects, understand their business needs, and present our services as a solution.
● Building relationships with potential customers through positive communication and excitement of TB
● Works directly with customers on the receipt and processing of transportation requirement requests.
● Identifying and providing effective solutions to new customer supply chain needs
● Following the sales cycle through the entire process to moving new customer freight
● Developing customer accounts and loyalty by providing the highest level of customer service
● Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth, including pricing, promotions, and discounts.
● Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential customers, highlighting the benefits and value of our services.
● Understand customer needs and provide tailored comprehensive logistics solutions.
● Maintain and expand customer relationships, regularly follow up on service quality and customer satisfaction.
● Grasping key concepts of our freight brokerage division and approach to personal customer service
● Ensures customer expectations are met or exceeded by completing accurate and timely scheduling/dispatching of trucks and rail cars.
● Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and stay ahead of the competition.
● Regularly achieve and exceed individual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, customer service, and logistics, to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction.
● Continuously enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry expertise through training and professional development opportunities.
● Assists in the training of Carrier Sales team members.
● Acts as a next level reviewer for troubleshooting errors and/or issues.
● Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
● Strong understanding of Distribution, Transloading, Fulfillment, including knowledge of industry players, terminology, and market trends.
● Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence customers effectively.
Minimum Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
● Flexibility to travel occasionally to customer meetings and industry events, as required. Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, multitask, set own priorities, able to adapt to a changing environment, and lead without authority.
● Self-motivated and target-driven, with a strong desire to achieve and exceed sales goals.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to drive results.
● Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
● Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and provide creative solutions.
