Job Details

Travel: 80% – primarily local, home daily with rare overnights. (Visiting client.)

We're working with a Minnesota-based industrial company that has carved out a strong niche in the specialty gas sector—think calibration gas, medical blends, and more. Recently backed by a strategic partner in the gas space, they're looking to build out their outside sales bench, starting with this role.

This is a chance to own and build a territory from the ground up. You'll work closely with local customers—many already familiar with the company—to deepen relationships and identify where you can grow their spend. It’s a mix of hunter/farmer, with new business being key to success.

You’ll be expected to hit core sales metrics while managing your own schedule. Leadership is hands-off but available for support and mentorship. There’s no existing pipeline in this role—so someone who can operate independently and isn’t afraid of a blank slate will thrive.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of experience in specialty or industrial gas sales. If you’ve sold into medical, lab, or calibration environments—or worked at competitors in the gas world—you’re likely to hit the ground running. A clean MVR is required, as is comfort being on the road most of the time.

Base salary range: $49,799 – $74,698
Incentives: Commissions (shared upon interview), biannual bonus structure (based on performance and company targets), vehicle reimbursement
