Our organization is seeking a passionate and dedicated Consulting School Psychologist to join our dynamic team in the Healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early intervention, play-based assessment, ISBE, and PEL. This exciting role requires a minimum of 1 years of experience in the field and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students.
Responsibilities:
Start and End Date: August 11, 2025--December 1, 2025
Grade Level: Pre-K/EC
This position is IN PERSON
Psychologists handle all of the screening and case studies for students
transitioning from early intervention using Play-Based Assessment. The psychologist leads weekly child find team meetings where new student screening information is reviewed. The psychologist also participates in MTSS and addresses any new open domains that arise from students who are referred through screening into classrooms.
There will probably be 10-15 full case studies and screening of around 40-50 students for the duration of the leave.
Other information:
Experience with Linder’s Play Based Assessment and experience working with young children. The psychologist should have a strong understanding of child development.
Weekly guaranteed Hours: Full time, Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day, 30-minute duty-free lunch

- Provide comprehensive psychological services to a diverse student population, including psychoeducational assessments, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.
- Conduct Play-Based Assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need and develop individualized education plans.
- Implement early intervention strategies to help students overcome behavioral and emotional challenges.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals to coordinate services for students with special needs.
- Promote positive behaviors and mental health in educational settings.
- Provide training and workshops for school staff and parents on topics related to child development, mental health, and education.
- Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in school psychology, and integrate this knowledge into practice.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice set forth by ISBE and PEL.
