Job Details
he Security Systems Technician will:
Have knowledge of current State/National Electrical Codes
Have the desire to learn basic system programming skills
Able to understand blueprints, take offs and as-is-builds
Install cabling for security system components and perform final connections
Install and troubleshoot basic wiring for IP video, analog video, access control, intrusion, and fire systems.
Possess a valid low or high voltage license
Have knowledge of current State/National Electrical Codes
Possess factory certifications with CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm and/or other security products (preferred but not required)
Have basic system programming skills
Work with blueprints, take offs and as-is-builds
Install cabling for security system components and perform final connections
Install and troubleshoot IP video, analog video, access control, intrusion, and fire systems
Configure, program and test TCP/IP networks
The following certifications are a plus: MCSE, NICET, CCNA, MCDBA, SQL, Network + Fiber Jobs
Security Systems Technician of all Levels are Required to:
Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Occasionally lift an 80 lb. extension ladder
Work 15 to 25 feet above ground
Familiar with and able to effectively use hand and power tools
Flexibility to work overtime and travel overnight as needed
Ability & desire to learn about our CCTV / Access control products and services
Have knowledge of current State/National Electrical Codes
