GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Lead Security Technician is responsible for the installation, management, programming, and successful customer signoff of moderate to large-sized security application deployments. The Installation Technician/Programmer must be able to interface directly with the customer and must have good technical, communication, and customer service skills.

Preference will be given to those with certifications from Genetec, Lenel, AMAG, Prowatch, Software House, Avigilon, Pelco, Milestone, Bosch, Kantech S2, and other leading security manufacturer's products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions in electrical security equipment, wiring, and devices; replaces and repairs as required.
Installs and connects electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to specifications.
Operates various hand and light power tools to splice wires, solder connections, cut or drill wiring holes for devices and to attach or anchor fixtures and conduit; operates various meters to test voltage, amperage and continuity of electrical circuits.
Operates power tools to cut and bend conduit and pull wire through conduit; attaches conduit to wire panels, breaker boxes, and other devices.
Completes work orders for each project by listing the amount of time and materials used.
Climbs ladders and operates hydraulic bucket truck to reach and replace or repair interior and exterior security devices.
Performs preventive maintenance on security devices.
Computes the required capacity of materials and fixtures for new facilities based on the type of equipment of devices to be installed and the voltage and/or amperage requirements.
Estimates the amount of materials required for each project; requisitions or purchases needed materials.
Receives work orders listing repairs, maintenance and installations needed.
Operates a light truck to transport tools, materials, and equipment to various work sites.
Tests installed systems to assure 100% compliance
Inspects the work of electrical contractors performing work to ensure work meets with specifications and codes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The ability to lift 25 pounds and above Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record Computer literate including Outlook and the Internet
