We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Seed Funding Lead to join our fast-paced Tech Services company. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in the start-up ecosystem, particularly in leading the seed funding process. As the Permanent Seed Funding Lead, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing seed-stage investments that align with our company's strategic goals. Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of the seed funding process, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments in promising start-ups.
- Develop and implement a strategic investment plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and other key players in the start-up ecosystem to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of investments and manage the closing process.
- Monitor and report on the performance of portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments to inform investment decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leading the seed funding process in the tech services industry.
- Extensive knowledge of the start-up ecosystem and the seed funding process.
- Strong financial analysis and due diligence skills.
- Excellent negotiation and deal-making abilities.
- Strong network of contacts in the start-up and venture capital communities.
- Ability to think strategically and make sound investment decisions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to travel as needed to meet with entrepreneurs and other key stakeholders.
