Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Lead financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, including reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and other documentation to identify financial risks and opportunities.
2. Coordinate the integration of acquisitions into our financial systems, including mapping and migrating financial data, setting up new accounts, and training staff on new procedures.
3. Prepare consolidated financial statements and other financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
4. Analyze financial data and prepare financial models for decision support, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems, including implementing new accounting software and tools.
6. Provide ongoing accounting support for acquired companies, including month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations, and ensure compliance in all accounting and financial reporting activities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on acquisition accounting and integration.
3. Strong understanding of GAAP and experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
4. Experience with database architecture, including designing, implementing, and managing financial databases.
5. Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex projects and deliver results on time.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
10. Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also a team player.
11. Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.
