Job Details
Responsibilities
As a Consulting Senior Accountant, you will be expected to:
1. Lead and manage all aspects of the company's accounting operations including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
2. Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results for each department.
3. Implement and maintain a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, and US GAAP.
4. Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
5. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
6. Collaborate with the senior management team to formulate the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives.
7. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
8. Develop financial and tax strategies.
9. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
10. Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. An advanced degree or CPA will be an added advantage.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with a proven track record of success.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
5. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
6. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of accounting software.
7. An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral, written, and persuasive skills.
8. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
