Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and values.
  • Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Analyze inventory turnover ratios and propose strategies to optimize inventory levels.
  • Calculate and monitor product costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Ensure proper allocation of costs and overhead to products.
  • Analyze cost variances and provide recommendations for cost reductions.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) reports for management.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes related to inventory and costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within inventory and cost accounting.
  • Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to inventory and cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Utilize spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or CPA designation is a plus).
  • 4 years of experience in inventory and cost accounting (industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
