You will be responsible for a diverse range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger, account reconciliation, budgeting, cost accounting, and the preparation of financial statements. You will be responsible for a diverse range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, general ledger, account reconciliation, budgeting, cost accounting, and the preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensure accuracy and timeliness with account reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain periodic financial reports, ensuring they comply with company policies and accounting principles.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Coordinate the budgeting process and work closely with various departments to plan, budget, and forecast future financial performance.
- Implement and oversee cost accounting procedures, analyze manufacturing costs, and recommend changes to improve profitability.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Evaluate and improve systems and procedures for financial record-keeping, aiming to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, general ledger, account reconciliation, budgeting, cost accounting, and preparing financial statements.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
