We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Senior Accountant/Office Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our financial operations, including accounting, bookkeeping, and sales operations. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in accounting, Quickbooks, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, and bookkeeping. The candidate must also have experience in managing operations and office management.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, and Quickbooks entries.
2. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
3. Prepare and present monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
4. Coordinate and direct office services, including operations and procedures, in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
5. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the office including maintenance of office systems, layout, and equipment procurement.
6. Develop and implement office policies and procedures, and ensure they are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Participate in the development of business strategy and major business initiatives.
8. Coordinate with sales operations to optimize revenue and meet the company's financial objectives.
9. Manage and oversee the preparation of payroll, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in a senior accounting role. Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
3. Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
5. Experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and bookkeeping.
6. Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
7. Proven experience as an Office Manager or Administrative Director.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
