Job Details

Join a high-performing finance team in a full-time, onsite Senior Staff Accountant role based at our corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. This position is integral to ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient financial operations and reports directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Lead or participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and accounting policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
  • Prepare or assist with tax filings (income, sales, payroll), ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor junior team members and review their work for accuracy and alignment with best practices.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and workflows.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required to support business needs.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Active CPA certification required.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Tax compliance experience is a plus.
