For the last 30+ years, we have been been providing affordable housing to those in need in our country through our non profit organization. Beyond ensuring that struggling families can afford a place to live, we also provide additional services including but not limited to life-skills training, childcare mentoring, employment services, and other case management support. It is our mission to promote affordable housing and increased quality of life in order to reduce homelessness and poverty for out county's residents.

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will support the accounting team in ensuring a timely and accurate month end close, will lead reconciliation and account audit efforts.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries for review
• Participate in account reconciliations
• Serve as lead for AP/AR, Payroll, and GL accounting
• Maintain strong GAAP knowledge
• Help to ensure internal controls and processes are being maintained
• Assist in account audits and cleanup
• Support controller with reporting
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting
• Non-Profit accounting experience
• Account audit experience
