Job Details

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role will be a key player in our financial management department, responsible for overseeing the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The successful candidate will perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses and should have an extensive understanding of the construction or manufacturing sector's unique financial needs. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of A/R, payroll, and other financial transactions.
  • Manage the construction accounting processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation and revenue recognition.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and legislation.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Coordinate the budget process, collecting inputs, and comparing the company's actual performance with the budget model.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interact with internal and external clients while leading ad hoc projects.
  • Use advanced Excel skills to create detailed financial reports and models.
  • Continually drive process and policy improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or manufacturing accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Automated Financial and Accounting Reporting Systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
