Senior Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing financial operations in the construction industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our construction projects, from budgeting to job costing and everything in between.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for all construction projects
• Develop and maintain a system of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
• Monitor cash flow and ensure that all expenses are properly recorded and accounted for
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations
• Work closely with project managers to develop and maintain project budgets and ensure that all costs are properly allocated
• Conduct regular reviews of financial data to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of Quickbooks and other accounting software
• Experience with job costing and project accounting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
