A bit about us:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the manufacturing industry. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining and controlling the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for critical functions such as financial analysis, cost accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Execute and oversee the full cycle of accounting activities, including journal entries, month-end close, year-end close, general ledger, and cost accounting.
2. Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insight into the company's operations and business plans.
3. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports that meet the needs of management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
4. Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and providing insights to the management.
5. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall department goals and objectives.
7. Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
8. Participate in various projects such as ERP system implementation and process improvement initiatives.
9. Assist in the preparation of schedules and documents for auditors.
10. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 4+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in ERP systems and computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting.
5. Solid understanding of cost accounting and general ledger functions is preferred.
6. Proven ability to manage the month-end and year-end close process.
7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
11. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
