We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence in financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost accounting, inventory, and forecasting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established accounting standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of cost accounting, including the preparation and analysis of cost reports, cost variance analysis, and cost of goods sold calculations.
2. Oversee inventory management, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
3. Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning to support business objectives and financial goals.
4. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
5. Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to develop and implement effective financial strategies and processes.
6. Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
7. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
8. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions and strategy development.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on cost accounting, inventory management, and financial forecasting.
3. Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable laws and regulations.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
9. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
