Job Details
We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in overseeing the general ledger and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with organizational, accounting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position requires a dedicated professional who can deliver accurate and timely financial data to meet the organization's needs while providing mentorship and training to the accounting team.

- Prepare monthly analyses of balance sheet accounts.
- Review general ledger account activity, investigating and resolving unbalanced items through recommended journal entries.
- Record closing journal entries and conduct timely research on unusual items to ensure accurate monthly financial closings.
- Generate monthly financial performance reports for accounting and general management.
- Assist in the completion of departmental annual operating budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee the fixed asset database and reporting.
- Review and provide input on work completed by accounting administrators related to the general ledger and financial statements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in general ledger/accounting; eligibility for senior status requires at least 10 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and word processing, along with previous experience with accounting software packages.
