Our company, a leading player in the hospitality industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize and enhance your accounting skills in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of accounting duties, including month-end close, journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role will also involve handling Sales & Use Tax Returns and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and deadlines are met.
2. Preparing and posting journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger.
3. Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for management.
5. Managing the preparation and submission of Sales & Use Tax Returns.
6. Ensuring all accounting practices align with GAAP.
7. Assisting with the annual audit process by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
8. Collaborating with other finance team members to improve financial procedures and ensure financial integrity.
9. Assisting with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, you must possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Solid understanding of GAAP.
4. Proven experience with month-end close, journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
5. Experience with Sales & Use Tax Returns.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
