Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
2. Managing the general ledger and conducting monthly account reconciliations.
3. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
4. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and established policies.
5. Assisting with the preparation of year-end financial statements and audits.
6. Providing financial data and support to management, helping guide business decisions.
7. Identifying and implementing improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
8. Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial operations.
9. Assisting with tax preparation and filing activities.
10. Training and mentoring junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will have:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the legal industry.
3. Proficiency in forecasting, financial statements, general ledger, and account reconciliation.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
