Job Details
Join our team as a Senior Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company, applying your expertise in accounting principles and your passion for financial analysis. You will be responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring our financial data complies with state and federal regulations. You will also play a key role in budget planning and financial forecasting. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Prepare GL account reconciliations
2. Prepare journal entries and cash movements
3. Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
4. Managing month-end and year-end closing.
5. Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
6. Organizing financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
7. Analyzing financial data to support decision-making process and performance management.
8. Ensuring compliance with the law.
9. Communicating financial information to managers and professionals in other departments.
10. Working closely with the accounting team to improve financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g. CMA, CPA) is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional knowledge of Excel.
5. Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
