Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
1. Maintaining and managing the general ledger and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
2. Overseeing cost accounting and payroll functions.
3. Conducting financial forecasting and developing business strategies based on financial data.
4. Preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
5. Ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting principles.
6. Assisting with tax planning and compliance.
7. Managing cash flow and conducting regular bank reconciliations.
8. Reconciling the general ledger and bank statements.
9. Using advanced Excel functions such as v-look ups and pivot tables to analyze data.
10. Working with QuickBooks Online ERP and AIA Contracts.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of general ledger functions and cost accounting.
3. Experience with payroll and project management.
4. Proficiency in financial forecasting and business strategy development.
5. Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
6. Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles.
7. Experience in tax planning and compliance.
8. Strong skills in cash flow management and bank reconciliation.
9. Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as v-look ups and pivot tables.
10. Experience working with QuickBooks Online ERP and AIA Contracts.
11. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.
12. Commercial Construction Experience is a plus.
