We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our expanding Accounting and Finance team. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about all aspects of accounting and finance and is looking to take their career to the next level. This position will play a pivotal role in the company's financial future, contributing to audits, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach, outstanding analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. This is a permanent, full-time position, requiring a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements, including the consolidation of financial statements.
2. Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
3. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
4. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties such as auditors and regulators.
5. Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting processes, including the development of financial models.
6. Reviewing and analyzing financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
7. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
8. Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and assist in company-wide budgetary planning.
9. Providing financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Accountant role, candidates must possess the following:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
3. In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
9. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
10. Proactive problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
