Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a dynamic and challenging role? Our company, a leading entity in the energy industry, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our growth and success while expanding your career in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in the energy industry, and a proven track record of managing complex financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of contract summaries, ensuring all relevant financial data is accurately recorded and updated.
2. Managing the application of ASC 606 to customer contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
3. Maintaining deferred revenue schedules, ensuring all revenue is accurately accounted for and reported.
4. Preparing price volume analysis and fluctuation analysis by asset, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision making.
5. Ensuring the efficient operation of our NetSuite system, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise.
6. Collaborating with other members of the finance team to develop and implement strategies to optimize our financial operations.
7. Performing various other accounting duties as required, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA tracking.
2. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting or focused on revenue accounting.
3. Prior experience in the energy industry is highly desirable.
4. Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software is required.
5. Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to customer contracts.
6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to prepare complex financial analyses and reports.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
8. A high degree of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
