Senior Accountant

Our client is a well-established global manufacturing and construction company.

Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with both the Accounting Manager and Controller.

1. Preparing and executing month-end close procedures, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
2. Maintaining and managing the general ledger system and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
3. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
4. Conducting variance analysis to understand the differences between budgeted and actual financial results, and providing detailed explanations for variances.
5. Managing cash flow and preparing cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient liquidity for the company's operations.
6. Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.
7. Managing relationships with vendors, ensuring timely payments, and resolving any discrepancies.
8. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures.
9. Collaborating with other departments and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Accountant position should possess the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
2. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
5. QuickBooks experience preferred.
