Essential Functions & Key Position Responsibilities



Technology & Systems:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or Adaptive is preferred.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.


Accounting & Financial Reporting:
Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Own and manage key accounting tasks, including (but not limited to):
Importing weekly and periodic payroll entries
Preparing B&O sales tax and city tax filings
Managing non-restaurant sales Accounts Receivable
Preparing Employee Program reports
Posting recurring journal entries
Assisting with daily bank transaction postings
Creating weekly settlement runs
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and general ledger.
Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Perform adjusting entries for accurate period, cycle, or year-end closings.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations for other assigned entities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and oversight of accounts payable activities.


Financial Compliance & Audit Support:
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review information for audits, tax filings, and other reporting requirements.
Maintain and update lease requirements.


Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Review restaurant sales reporting and ensure accurate franchise royalty and advertising fee payments.
Work closely with Operations to resolve financial discrepancies.
Respond to inquiries from senior leadership regarding financial results.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the financial operations of multiple business units.


Process Improvement & Special Projects:
Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and internal controls.
Support special projects, other duties, and ad hoc analyses as assigned.
Take ownership of assigned entities' financials and proactively seek opportunities to improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.


Teamwork & Professionalism:
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Demonstrates self-motivation and the ability to work independently within a team setting.
Adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in a team environment.


Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.


EXPERIENCE

Minimum of two years of accounting experience required, with a strong preference for candidates with public accounting or multi-entity experience.
Experience with Workday, Adaptive, and/or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
