Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
  • Lead and coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Analyze and report on margins by product and division.
  • Analyze and report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.
  • Analyze capital budgeting requests.
  • Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Strong understanding of Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in using financial software systems, such as NetSuite and SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations.
  • Solid experience in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
  • Superior organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
