Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the financial operations of the organization, including the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
3. Managing the entries and general ledger, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
4. Implementing and maintaining the Sage Intacct system, ensuring its effective utilization across the organization.
5. Conducting regular financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, providing strategic financial recommendations to senior management.
6. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and regulations.
7. Collaborating with external auditors, providing all required information and addressing any issues raised.
8. Mentoring and guiding junior accounting staff, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in Sage Intacct and other accounting software.
4. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
6. Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
9. High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
